The Castlefrank Apple Basket is a program initiated and run by our school families and the Castlefrank School Council. Apples (and occasionally other seasonal fruit) are available in the school office and filled once a week. Any student who is in need of a healthy snack is welcome to drop in (with a big hello to Sarah J and Amy) and get an apple. We are excited to bring this program back! We are working in accordance with COVID 19 protocols so the fruit is not in a basket but placed out a few at a time to allow access without touching other fruit pieces. We need your help to keep our apple supply filled! Every Monday (or Tuesday if it’s a long weekend), a Castlefrank family will donate 2 bags (aaproximately 8-10 lbs) of washed apples. Any variety of apple is welcome, although we find that smaller apples work best for small mouths. We just ask that you please wash the apples before brining them to school. For those who are not familiar with this program, the Castlefrank Apple Basket is a program initiated and run by our school families and the school council. Families sign up to drop off 2 bags (approximately 8-10lbs) of washed apples, which are kept in the school office. Students who find themselves in need of an extra snack throughout the day are welcome to stop by and get one. On behalf of the school council and hungry tummies, we thank everyone for their support!
