A reminder that the Bike Rodeo is coming up this Thursday May 10 and Friday May 11, brought to you by the Castlefrank School Council in partnership with the Ottawa Safety Council.  Information and permission forms were sent home with students last week.  Thank you to all the parents who have already returned the blue permission forms for their bikers, scooters and walkers.

All students on a bike or scooter must bring and wear a helmet. We would also encourage you to make sure your child’s bike is in good working order, has air in the tires and that your child has some practise time on the bike before arriving at school for the bike rodeo. We want everyone to have a great time!

Bikes/scooters may be dropped off by parents on the schoolyard from 8:15-8:30am on their designated “Rodeo Day” and will be stored by class on the outside of the Kindergarten playground enclosure. Please remember students are not to bike on school property and should be walking their bikes on the paths around school. Bikes will be monitored throughout the day however at the end of the day bikes must be picked up by 3:15pm or moved and locked to the bike racks at the side of the school. We encourage you to label your child’s bike/scooter and helmet. Please note that bikes/scooters are not allowed on the buses and the Bike Rodeo will go ahead rain or shine!

A reminder of your child’s “Rodeo Day” below:

Thursday May 10th – Shadows, Papillons, Grenouilles, Monarchs, Rockstars, Red Apples, Dragonflies, Alligators

Friday May 11th – Bleuets, Etoiles, Banana Splits, Ninjas, Minions, Clowns, Superheros

We are in need of a few more volunteers to make this event a success!  Volunteers are still needed for the Thursday and Friday afternoon slots (11-1:30pm).  If you are able to assist us with this event, please sign-up at: http://www.tinyurl.com/CES-Bike-Rodeo
